SUMMARY
The Quality Supervisor is responsible for daily supervision of Engineers and hourly Inspectors with the ability to drive sustainable Quality improvements in Value Stream assigned.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Staff - Placement, Performance Management, Succession planning, day to day Supervisor, Leads team to meet departmental and plant objectives.
- Development - Monitors, and keeps records on all employee training, Development, and Education initiatives
- Customer Quality - Monitor Value Stream quality goals and objectives per Plant/Corporate guidelines and customer targets, review customer complaints and problem resolution,
- Supplier Quality - Monitor Value Stream quality goals and objectives per Plant/Corporate guidelines and MAHLE targets, Monitors supplier complaints and problem resolution,
- Quality Management System - Monitor and maintain quality management system per corporate guidelines, IATF 16949 guidelines and customer requirements,
- Quality Planning - Monitor and administer quality APQP objectives per corporate guidelines, MAHLE targets and customer requirements.
- Quality Controlling - Reviews and monitors control plans for compliance per customer requirements, IATF 16949 and corporate guidelines.
- Environmental, Wellness, Safety - Compliance with all applicable environmental, health, and safety regulation per ISO 45001 & 14001.
- Communication - Executes communication themes, audiences, messages, responsibility, timing, measurement, and status.
- Assist in training supervisors, leads, operators and maintenance staff in the safe and proper usage of gages.
- Confers with management, engineering and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules and other considerations to facilitate the manufacturing/injection molding processes.
- Reviews manufacturing strategy on new product quotations.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job has supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year college or university. Can be waived based on experience.
- Experience in plastic molding & assembly.
- Minimum 10 years Quality Assurance Experience in Manufacturing Environment.
- Minimum 5 years Leadership/Supervisory Experience.
