Responsibilities

As a Quality Manager, your key responsibilities will include:

1. Developing, implementing, and maintaining our Quality Management System in compliance with HACCP, USDA, and SQF standards.
2. Conducting and overseeing internal audits, identifying areas of non-compliance, and implementing corrective actions.
3. Training and coaching team members on quality standards, processes, and best practices.
4. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure quality is maintained at all stages of the production process.
5. Managing and resolving quality-related issues, using problem-solving skills to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
6. Reviewing and analyzing quality performance data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and changes in requirements.
7. Ensuring all products meet required safety and quality standards before they reach the customer.
8. Liaising with external auditors and managing regulatory inspections.
9. Providing leadership and direction to the quality assurance team, fostering a culture of quality throughout the organization.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for the Quality Manager role will have:

1. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a quality assurance role within the food industry.
2. Proven experience with HACCP, USDA, and SQF.
3. Fluency in both English and Spanish.
4. A Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Quality Management, or a related field.
5. Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills, with a focus on root cause analysis and implementing effective solutions.
7. Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex quality-related information to all levels of the organization.
8. The ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, prioritizing effectively to meet deadlines.
9. Proficiency in using quality management software and other related IT systems.
10. A commitment to continuous learning and improvement, staying up-to-date with the latest quality standards and best practices in the food industry.
