Position Summary:

This position is responsible for managing all aspects of the Quality Management System for the business division ensuring that standardized quality systems, tools and procedures are in place and being followed for product and document compliance. Essential duties include directly supervising a staff, overseeing the development and implementation of all manufacturing and project-specific quality plans, managing the CAPA program, administering and overseeing the AS9100 Rev D Certification driving quality continuous improvement initiatives, designing and ensuring the appropriate execution of all internal and external quality audits, overseeing the coordinating the Material Review Board, developing, tracking and reporting on all key quality metrics and managing the department budget.

Key Responsibilities

Responsible for of the Quality Management System tools, methods and processes to assure products will be delivered on time with the lowest possible cost and highest level of Customer satisfaction.

Provide hands on leadership, motivate and develop a highly functional team to deliver quality process effectiveness and efficiency.

Conduct internal management reviews; work with other functions and operations to achieve targeted improvements measured by KPI matrix. Measure and report KPIs

Manage all third, second party and internal audits to ensure compliance to all applicable governing standards and specifications. Maintain all required certifications and accreditations.

Manage all key system related initiatives based on AS9100 Rev D, ISO 9001:2008 requirements including effective process controls, documentations, record keeping, suppliers 'quality assurance programs.

Manage customer complaints for timely resolutions.

Manage calibration systems.

Applies statistical process control (SPC) methods for analyzing data to evaluate the current process and process changes.

Apply proper quality engineering tools for process controls, problems solving and improvements.

Design and implement quality assurance training programs to all levels of personnel in the organization.

Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent required

A minimum of 5 years Supervisory experience

A minimum of 5 years of Quality Assurance experience in manufacturing, preferably in aerospace and defense

Certified auditors, quality engineering or quality managers preferred.

LEAN / Six Sigma training and demonstrated application.

Demonstrated progressive leadership skills and abilities.

Decision making capabilities.

Proficient PC skills in a Windows environment.

Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Strong interpersonal, collaboration and teamwork skills.

Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e., 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience using an ERP system.

Physical Demands / Working Conditions:

Typically sits, grasps items and performs keyboarding for frequent operation of a computer.

Stand, walk, bend, reach or otherwise move about occasionally.

Lift, move, or otherwise transfer items up to 35 lbs. occasionally, >20 lbs. frequently.

Travel by air or car occasionally

Occasional exposure to typical machine shop physical hazards
