Position: Quality Management Specialist (RN)

Role Brief:

The Quality Management Specialist plays a pivotal role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care by reviewing and interpreting clinical cases for efficiency of care. This position requires a Bachelor's degree in a clinical discipline, NYS Licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) is highly preferred, along with EPIC Experience. The role involves on-site work for 4 days a week and 1 day remote, with unreimbursed travel between Manhattan and Brooklyn.

Responsibilities:

  • Review and interpret clinical cases to assess the efficiency of care provided.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to identify areas for improvement in patient care processes.
  • Analyze data related to patient outcomes, adverse events, and compliance with quality standards.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance the quality of patient care and patient safety.
  • Conduct audits and assessments to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and quality standards.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings to discuss and address quality-related issues.
  • Provide education and training to healthcare staff on quality improvement initiatives.
  • Document findings, actions taken, and outcomes related to quality improvement efforts.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in quality management and patient safety.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a clinical discipline.
  • NYS Licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) highly preferred.
  • EPIC Experience (R) is required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in Quality and Patient Safety.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to review and interpret clinical data.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and electronic medical record systems.
  • Flexibility to work on-site for 4 days a week and 1 day remotely.
  • Willingness to travel between Manhattan and Brooklyn for work-related purposes.
