Job Details

We are seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to join our team. This role is crucial for ensuring the quality of all products manufactured in our facility through the development, implementation, and maintenance of quality control systems and standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in metal stamping processes and a proven track record in quality assurance.

Responsibilities (This section is not inclusive. Other duties may be assigned as necessary).

  • Develop and maintain quality control plans for all product lines, ensuring compliance with internal and industry standards.
  • Conduct regular quality audits of processes and products to identify areas for improvement and ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Collaborate with production teams to implement effective quality control measures throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Analyze production limitations and problems and develop solutions to enhance product quality and minimize defects.
  • Lead root cause analysis for quality issues and coordinate with cross-functional teams to implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Manage customer complaints, ensuring quick resolution and identifying opportunities to improve product and service quality.
  • Support the production team in achieving quality objectives, including training staff on quality assurance procedures and standards.
  • Serve as the key front-line interface for all quality, reliability, and manufacturing customer inquiries.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical, Industrial, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in quality engineering within a metal stamping or similar manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of quality control standards and testing techniques.
  • Proficient in statistical analysis and quality improvement tools, such as Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
  • Strong communication and project management skills.
  • Willing to travel, as required by customers and suppliers.
  • Prior Automotive Tier I/II experience is considered an asset.
