Summary

This role involves hands-on work on the shop floor, collaborating with operators to resolve or enhance quality issues. Additionally, you'll work closely with manufacturing engineers, production teams, and the repair network to ensure quality processes and products.

Responsibilities

Process Communication: Ensure that manufacturing and quality processes are clearly defined and communicated from manufacturing engineering to the shop floor via technical instructions and quality control charts.

Quality Process Development: Develop and implement product-specific quality processes using sound engineering judgment and methodologies.

Quality Assurance: Ensure that quality requirements are met during component manufacturing to both internal and customer standards.

Continuous Improvement: Conduct process audits and run continuous improvement projects.

Non-Conformance Management: Detect and track non-conformances, lead root cause analysis, and define corrective and preventive measures.

Support: Provide quality support for the repair business and address thermal spray quality issues within the Combustion department.

Requirements

Continuous Improvement Skills: Ability to apply continuous improvement methods to enhance manufacturing quality, efficiency, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.

Technical Expertise: Familiarity with gas turbine combustion hardware, specifically transition ducts and combustion baskets, and the methods of manufacturing these parts, including CNC programming/machining, welding/fabrication, laser drilling, and thermal spray coatings.

Project Management: Experience with project and schedule management.

Lean/Six Sigma Knowledge: Preferred familiarity with Lean and/or Six Sigma philosophies and their application in process capability and improvement.

Attention to Detail: Must be detail-oriented and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Experience: Preferred at least 5 years' experience in the energy or manufacturing industry, but open to new graduates with the right ambition and skill sets.

Education- BS in Engineering or a Manufacturing-related degree.
