Quality Engineer/ Field Engineer

Job description
Position Summary: Reports to the Quality Manager and identifies opportunity initiatives relative to the improvement of corporate organizations ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System.
Essential Functions:
Assists in maintaining the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System.
Audits the implementation and effectiveness of the companys quality initiatives.
Assists in the preparation for management review, registration, and third party audits.
Identifies opportunities for improvement and initiates corrective actions(8D).
Develops Control Plans, Quality Operating Procedures, and Work Instructions.
Develop Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis (PFEMA)
Maintains the calibration of tools and equipment along with their associated records.
Conducts training in the area of quality assurance.
Coordinates the collection and maintenance of quality records and control activities.
Works with suppliers to ensure that they attain the same high level of quality that is expected throughout our organization.
Responsible for promoting awareness of customer requirements throughout the organization.
Carries out subcontractor quality surveys and audits.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing
Travel when necessary to customer sites for non-conformance analysis and corrective action implementation
Other Responsibilities:
Performs other work-related duties as assigned.
Travel 20% to customers site to analysis and interpret issues
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Creativity, verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem-solving ability.
Demonstrated knowledge and application of ISO 9001:2015
Ability to function effectively at all levels of the organization
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Strong organizational skills including proven ability to manage multiple projects
Effective interpersonal skills including the ability to relate to others and resolve problems
Experience using Microsoft Office applications
Bilingual English-Spanish is a plus
Education and/or required experience:
B.S. in Engineering or equivalent plus a minimum of 4 years experience in Engineering.
Manufacturing experience is a must
Lead internal auditing experience for ISO 9001:2015 preferred

Pay: $60,151.00 - $69,728.00 per year
