Overview: As a Quality Control Technician, you will be responsible for inspecting, testing, and evaluating bakery products throughout the production process to maintain consistency and excellence in our offerings.
Responsibilities: - Conduct routine inspections of raw materials, production processes, and finished bakery products to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
- Perform physical and sensory evaluations of baked goods, including appearance, texture, taste, and aroma, to identify any deviations from quality standards.
- Monitor and document critical control points (CCPs) in the baking process, such as temperature, humidity, and ingredient measurements, to ensure adherence to recipe guidelines.
- Collaborate with production staff to address quality issues and implement corrective actions promptly, minimizing product defects and waste.
- Collect samples of bakery products for laboratory analysis, including microbiological and chemical testing, to verify product safety and shelf-life stability.
- Maintain accurate records of quality control data, test results, and inspection reports, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal quality procedures.
- Conduct calibration and verification of testing equipment and instrumentation to maintain accuracy and reliability in quality control activities.
- Participate in the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives, such as process optimization, training programs, and supplier evaluations.
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, including production, purchasing, and management, to address quality-related concerns and support continuous improvement efforts.
- Uphold food safety and hygiene standards in the workplace, following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) guidelines.
Experience: - Proven experience in quality control or a related field
- Strong knowledge of QA/QC (Quality Assurance/Quality Control) principles and practices
- Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments for quality inspection purposes
- Ability to analyze data and identify trends or patterns
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in work
