Softek Global Services provides both operations & strategic support to tribal 8(a) & commercial organizations. Our client is a Tribally-Owned Enterprise focused on delivering Construction, Infrastructure, Information Technology, & Professional Services to the Federal Government. They are seeking a Quality Control Rep/SSHO to join, and support their team in Laurel, MD. This is a fulltime, onsite position. Must be able to pass a background check to receive a Public Trust clearance.
The main responsibilities of the role include:

• Creating and implementing quality control procedures to ensure that all work is completed in compliance with the relevant building codes and standards. This role requires someone with strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a thorough understanding of construction codes and safety standards.
• This will be in accordance with USACE Quality Control guidelines. Site Safety and Health Officer position requires construction safety knowledge and a minimum of OSHA 10.
• Ensure that construction projects adhere to quality/safety standards, regulations, and client specifications.
• Develop and implement quality control/safety procedures and protocols for construction sites.
• Conduct regular inspections of construction sites to identify deficiencies and opportunities for improvement in quality and safety.
• Work with project managers and site supervisors to address quality/safety issues and ensure corrective actions are taken.
• Manage and track inspection reports, logs, and other quality/safety documentation.
• Educate construction personnel on quality control/safety procedures and best practices.
• Ensure that all construction work is completed safely and meets health and safety regulations.
Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in construction quality control and safety management.
• Experience managing with the USACE Contractor Quality Management Program.
• Experience working on federal DOD projects.
• Must have diverse commercial construction knowledge; hands-on experience is a plus.
• Must be able to communicate with clients, subcontractors and team members professionally.
• Must have strong computer and writing skills.
• Must have strong safety background.
• Must have some safety experience/indoctrination.
• Government clearances are preferred, but must be clearable if there are no current clearances.
• Must have a minimum OSHA 10, preferably OSHA 30.
• USACE CQM Certification required.
