Quality Control Inspector

Job Details Job Location GBDC - Fulton, NY Salary Range $15.50 Description Position Summary:

To assist in unloading trucks, as well as sort and count product to be inspected. Inspect product using guidelines for dimensions, decoration and functionality. Processes passing product and failing product.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: (Additional duties may be assigned)

65% Unload and sort product; place on pallets and move product with manual pallet jack. Drive to the location where delivery is required.

25% Inspect product using photo image for color, information on dimensions and functionally as well as correctness of barcode UPC labels, name and qty in cases.

10% Using a tablet, record quantity for pass and fail, as well as cause of fail. Take photos of quality issues and forward them to Product Managers, Leads and Supervisor.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications Education and Experience:

High school diploma or GED

Valid Driver License Required

Previous quality control experience preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Basic personal computer skills that include the ability to send/receive e-mail messages, post information to a database or spreadsheet, and perform basic word processing, bookkeeping, and/or data entry.

Must have the ability to read, write and perform basic math including adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing.

Excellent attention to detail.

Ability to maintain accurate records and data files.

Ability to clearly and concisely communicate verbally and in writing.

Strong organizational skills including the ability to manage multiple projects and details simultaneously.

Equipment Used:

Computer, printer and pallet jack

Computer Software: Outlook, Netsuite and Made2Manage

Safety: Safety Shoes required

Physical and Mental Requirements:

Ability to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, reach, push, pull, lift, use fingers, grasp, feel, and perform repetitive motions of hands or wrists.

Exerts up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to move objects.

Moderate mental and visual attention to perform manual work, machine operations, set-ups, inspections, and adjustments that require frequent decisions to detect and adjust for variance from proper operation.

Environmental Conditions:

The worker is subject to both inside and outside environmental conditions including temperature changes, noise, extreme heat, extreme cold and dust.
