In the roll you will perform quality inspections and testing to ensure compliance with all applicable standards. You will also work with production personnel to create and maintain continuous improvement in products and services to our customers.
Job title: Quality Assurance Technician
Location: Elyria, OH
Salary: $22 an hour ($20 base plus $2 shift differential)
Shift: 3 rd (7 pm to 7 am on a 2/2/3 schedule)
Duties and Responsibilities are as followed but not limited to:
- Inspect product during the extrusion process using calipers, micrometers, tape, and weight scale
- Compare product with customer specifications
- Inspect and tag finished product
- Issue SAP Quality Notifications as required
- Test incoming raw material and maintain records if required
- Operate diagnostic equipment needed to perform job
- Perform testing and duties according to Dura-Line Inspection and Test Plan
- Maintain neat and orderly work area
- Follow all safety requirements
- Collect sample resin from rail cars for testing
- Release rail cars in SAP after material verified
- Perform all other duties as assigned or required
Experience Requirements: - Must be able to work 12-hour shifts, weekends and nights
- Reading, writing, and mathematical competency testing required
- Experience in quality inspection procedures
- Computer skills required
- Experience with laboratory inspection equipment and hand tools
- Good written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to lift/push/pull up to 50 Ibs with or without reasonable assistance
- Must be able to stand/walk constantly during shift, to step over and/or bend under objects
