Duties You will be responsible for insuring timely and effective maintenance is being performed through a comprehensive quality assurance surveillance program for all products. You will schedule and conduct inspections, initiate inspection reports, and review all procedures. You will ensure contractor is complying with the quality surveillance provisions of the contract performance work statement. You will maintain appropriate records of inspections and provide metric based data reports. You will monitor contractor petroleum, oils, and lubricants operations and maintenance related to tanks, tank systems, piping filters, discharge points, and pumping facilities for compliance with environmental regulations. You will inspect loading and unloading of petroleum products and bulk fuel received, transferred, stored or issued by tank truck or pipeline. You will coordinate all special operations support efforts. Requirements Conditions of Employment Must be a US Citizen. Must be determined suitable for federal employment. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision. You "may" be coded as "key" and as such may be required to be removed from your military recall status. A signed statement of understanding is required. You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift This position may be subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required. You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver's license. You must be able to operate automotive vehicles up to five tons. You may be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment. You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination. Qualifications Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-09) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector applying a broad knowledge of major bulk fuels storage and distribution facility standards and applying principles, concepts, and methodology to a variety of fuels management functional areas. Examples of specialized experience include some or all of the following: 1) Assist in ensuring timely and effective maintenance is being performed through a quality assurance surveillance program. 2) Schedule inspections, maintain detailed records of inspections, and provide data-based reports. 3) Help monitor petroleum, oils, and lubricants operations and maintenance related to tanks, tank systems, piping, filters, discharge points, and/or pumping facilities. 4) Inspect loading and unloading of petroleum products and bulk fuel received, transferred, stored, or issued by tank truck or pipeline. 5) Monitor the issues of fuel from refuelers to aircrafts.
