This individual will play a crucial role in ensuring that products meet defined quality standards, as well as federal, state, and local regulations.

Job Details

Monitors and assesses plant sanitation procedures, offering pertinent recommendations to management.

Takes charge of implementing and evaluating in-plant quality initiatives, covering GMPs, HACCP, weight control, sanitation schedules, pest management, Appendix N, and sanitation, with a focus on enhancing practices.

Provides support in adhering to regulatory standards concerning product safety and quality.

Oversees the plant laboratory's operations, advising on staffing needs, equipment requirements, and laboratory calibration.

Ensures adherence to laboratory protocols set forth by the corporate quality department.

Holds accountability for halting production lines, refusing substandard ingredients or packaging materials, and halting the dispatch of finished goods in cases of significant breaches of company or regulatory norms.

Exercises final authority over product releases. Furnishes management and corporate quality personnel with comprehensive reports on quality concerns and standards.

Nurtures professional relationships with plant management, clients, and suppliers.

Collaborates closely with vendors and clients on product quality assessments and audits.

Demonstrates a high level of initiative and adaptability. Collaborates with the Plant Manager on various fronts, including participation in R&D initiatives and other necessary projects and tasks.

Executes additional directives as assigned by the corporate Quality Director and Plant Manager.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, technical understanding of dairy products, and the ability to troubleshoot quality issues.

Requirements :
Bachelor's degree in dairy, food science, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of combined experience in food/beverage quality control or sanitation, with a preference for dairy experience.
Comprehensive understanding of computer-driven process controls for a food/beverage manufacturing facility and proficiency in PC literacy.
3-5 years of experience in a leadership role.
