is seeking to hire a Quality Associate for our client in Westbrook, ME.

DESCRIPTION:

In This Role You Will:
Complete inspections, analysis and/or testing to specifications, requirements, and industry standards, using specialized instruments as needed.
Complete related documentation, paperwork and data entry.
Collect and provide reports and data to management; and assist with completing surveys, audits and certification.
Maintain current procedures and SOPs; identify and recommend process improvements and new procedures; and assist in implementing changes.
Manage special handling requirements for hazardous material as needed.

What You Need to Succeed:
Ability to read, interpret and carry out detailed instructions in written, oral or diagram form.
Ability to operate complex measurement instruments and determine proper measurement methods when developing/performing inspections to specifications.
Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings and specifications on a wide variety of materials and parts.
Ability to read and comprehend correspondence, memos and SOPs.
Ability to write correspondence and complete inspection documentation and filing.
Ability to present information effectively in one-on-one and small group situations.
Basic math skills and ability to work with units of measure, whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs.
Ability to interpret and use industry standard sampling plans.
Problem solving skills; deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Good PC skills, preferably MS Office.
For Lab Positions: SPC/SQC knowledge; ability to interpret and use industry standard sampling plans such as ANSI/ASQ Z1.4 preferred
You meet the physical requirements that go with working as a Quality Associate - Regularly required to stand and sit for extended periods; extend and reach with hands and arms; and use hands and fingers to handle, squeeze, twist and manipulate objects, controls and tools. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Regularly perform repetitive bench work.
