Overview BigBear AI is actively seeking to add a Qlik Sense Developer to the BigBear team, with a focus on the full range of Qlik development, integration, deployment, and maintenance of the application as a part of the Army Synchronization Tool (AST). The successful candidate will have with expertise in designing and developing analytical applications for high volume, low latency applications in a highly collaborative environment. The desired candidate must be experienced in data analysis and data modeling to support Qlik dashboards and meets the requirements below. Since this is could be a remote position, t hey must be a self-starter, equally talented in individual and team focused work working alongside other members of the AST Team. The position could be hybrid (remote/on-site) or on-site or at the applicant's discretion. On-site location options include Crystal City, VA at the Taylor Building, Fort Liberty, NC at US Army Forces Command (FORSCOM) HQ, or Ann Arbor MI, at the BigBear local office. The on-site requirement (at any location) would be a minimum of one (1) day per week with the rest remote. What you will do Create Visualizations by translating AST requirements and finding innovative solutions. Strategize and ideate the solution design (create prototypes and/or wireframes) before beginning on creating the application or solution. Create load scripts and QVDs to support dashboards. Create data models in Qlik Sense to support dashboards. Optimization for apps loading Datasets of 100+ million records. Custom extension development and maintenance using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS Lead data discovery, assessment, analysis, modeling, and mapping efforts for Qlik dashboards. Assist with deployment of new code releases and bug fixes. Conduct unit tests and troubleshoot any issues that arise. Conduct performance tuning so that the Qlik Dashboards meet the acceptable threshold of response time. Collaborate with Business Analysts, Information Assurance (Cyber) and QA staff. Provide user support post-launch and assist with creating user education materials (written and video). Opportunities to improve Qlik skills by developing extensions, NPrinting, Qlik GeoAnalytics, and 3rd party sources such as VizLib, NodeGraph, etc. Additional opportunities to use & develop skills in company Hackathons. Assist with deployment of new code releases and bug fixes. What you need to have Clearance: Active Secret Security Clearance, or the ability to get one. Bachelor's degree in computer science or comparable degree or: Associate degree and 7+ years of experience, or; Master's Degree and 3+ years of experience, or; PhD and some professional experience (in lieu of bachelor's degree, 9+ years of relevant experience) 3+ years Qlik experience and data modeling and building dashboards/data visualizations. DoD Directive 8570/8140.01 IAT/IAM Level 2 Certification such as Security+ (or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire. Familiarity with database systems and SQL queries and programming languages such as R or Python. Experience with data visualization tools, such as Tableau, Qlik, Power BI, d3.js, or equivalent. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality results. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively. Experience with project and task planning to include scope of work, time estimation, and resource assignment. Ability to resolve problems in a timely, professional manner within a team environment. An ability to rapidly internalize unfamiliar concepts and systems, determine how best to leverage automation to resolve inefficiencies and improve collaboration. Proven documentation skills and demonstrable competency with: Microsoft Office applications - Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio, Share Point, Teams and Access. Ability to impact operations and effect change without being confrontational. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. What we'd like you to have Experience with a statistical tool is a plus. Collecting, analyzing documents, and business processes a plus. Data modeling, dimensional modeling, and working with large data sets. ETL - Experience with SSIS ETL (SSAS and SSRS are also a big plus). SQL database development, experience writing advanced SQL queries. Use of complex Qlik Sense functions and developing optimal scripts. Knowledge of front-end design and data visualization techniques and best practices. Ability to interpret technical material to clients. Department of Defense or Department of the Army experience. Travel - Occasional CONUS travel, 5% - 10%.
