Description:

  • Responsible for timely analysis of raw materials, aging inventory, work in process/bases, and finished products. Ensure adherence to Silesia Specification, Customer Requirements, Product Authenticity, and recording of results in the operating system.
  • Efficient and precise data recording and paperwork filing
  • Customer complaint processing and investigation
  • Assist with inventory control of lab supplies
  • Shelf-life extension testing
  • Supports and completes Quality System/Food Safety programs such as Glass Breakage Audit, Good Manufacturing Audits, Environmental Monitoring swabs
  • Effectively communicate and manage recorded quality issues/non-conforming results to internal customers/cross-functional teams, assist in root cause analysis and recording of results in the operating system
  • Compliance to Good Manufacturing Process, Food Safety, Allergen Handling, Food Defense, and other Food Safety/Food Defense parameters
  • Organoleptic testing of incoming raw materials and outgoing flavors
  • Physical testing of incoming materials/ outgoing flavors, refractive index and density, flash point
  • Accurate data recording

  • Plant audit assistance
  • Environmental monitoring program assistance

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Must have a Bachelors degree in Chemistry, Biology, or Food Science
  • 1-3 years of experience in a lab, food/flavor industry, or quality control preferred but not required.
  • MS Office- Word, Excel, PP, Outlook
  • Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, microbiology or food science, preferred. Will accept years of experience in a quality laboratory or food manufacturing role.
  • Experience in field, laboratory, or production facility quality control is preferred.
  • Able to use Microsoft office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Microsoft Outlook.
  • Team player
  • ability to handle fast pace production scenarios and meet deadlines
  • flexibility to adapt to regularly changing priorities and quality issues.
