Large, rapidly growing biotech organization is seeking a temporary QC Analyst to join their team. This is a great opportunity to join an exciting, and robust company in the Albany area.

Summary: Support the Quality Control (QC) department by providing basic laboratory and

monitoring assistance to a cGMP operation.


What you need to know
  • Duration: One-year contract with strong potential for extension or permanent hire
  • Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm
  • Location: Rensselaer, NY
  • Pay: $23.00-25.00/hr. (DOE)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:


• Performs laboratory cleaning activities


• Coordinates laboratory sample requests and maintains sample inventory


• Data entry, filing and other administrative duties


• Complies with all pertinent regulatory agency requirements


• May perform certain basic and routine quality control testing after demonstrating proficiency, as needed


• Gathers data and documents test results


• Reviews test results to ensure compliance with standards; reports any quality anomalies


• Participates in required training activities


• Maintains laboratory supplies


• Completes test records and reviews data


• Calibrates or verifies calibration of instruments/devices prior to use


• Interacts with outside customers or functional peer groups


• May be responsible for maintaining a specific project


• Participates in the overtime and weekend schedule as required

Education and Experience:


• Requires a degree in Life Sciences or related field; will substitute relevant experience for

education
