Position Summary

This position charges for purchasing & developing local part, supply support, stock management, vendor organization, and solution immediate and emergency situation

Essential Functions

Corporate:

  • Adheres to the Hyundai Transys Georgia Powertrain (HTGP) and procedures
  • Learns, demonstrates and upholds HTGP Core Values
  • Complies with all HTGP Certification standards; Management System (TS16949), Environmental ISO 14001 and Health and Safety OHSAS 18001 policies and procedures
  • Treats all HTGP team members with respect and professional courtesy
  • Always strives to maintain a positive work environment
  • Manages the department budget efficiently as per approved annual budget
  • Performs additional assignments / duties as required by management

EHS:

  • Adheres to all safety policies and procedures
  • Complies with all safety policies and 5S clean philosophy to maintain a safe, clean working environment
  • Consistently meets company safety goals

Technical:

  • Monitors and troubleshoots U.S. Custom tariff issues and cooperate with Hyundai Transys Georgia Powertrain to match HTS code and Certification of Origin.
  • Maintains all documents, contract and formal minutes separately with each binder and check expire date for TS16949 standards.
  • Organizes international estimated time arrival shipping plan for Japan & China to make flexible and efficient operation.
  • Effectively utilizes development schedule based on customer mass production.
  • Schedules technical team members for internal and external training programs.
  • Make immediate local business trip to solve emergency.
  • Consulting HTS code for CKD parts & calculate NAFTA Trace Value and report every month to Customer.
  • Review PPAP approval documents and manage receiving sample schedule with vendor and Quality Department.
  • Review Engineering Order and make decision it is must be applied or not and discuss internally within HTGP and externally with vendors.
  • Manage local vendor's price change and input value into SAP system

Education

  • High School/GED
  • 4 Year Degree or comparable background of work related experience in Purchasing

  • Reports to: Purchasing Assistant Manager or designee

Position Requirements and Qualifications

  • 1 - 3 purchasing related experience (preferred)
  • Knowledge of Purchasing guidelines and programs
  • Knowledge of U.S. Custom regulations and recommendations
  • Experience with Purchasing systems
  • Self-motivation and ability to work with little direction
  • Excellent oral communication and listening skills
  • Outstanding organizational skills
