We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Purchasing Manager to join our Manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the company's purchasing operations with a focus on maintaining quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery of materials. This role is critical in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing processes and the quality of our products. If you are a strategic thinker with a knack for negotiation and a deep understanding of the manufacturing industry, we'd love to hear from you.

Responsibilities

As a Permanent Purchasing Manager, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

1. Developing and implementing purchasing strategies to ensure cost-effectiveness and timely delivery of materials.
2. Managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring the quality of products and services.
3. Overseeing inventory management, including forecasting, budgeting, and materials management to ensure optimal inventory levels.
4. Conducting cost analysis and implementing cost-saving measures.
5. Managing the procurement of polyethylene and polypropylene resins and other materials used in our manufacturing processes.
6. Collaborating with other departments to identify needs, specifications, and potential suppliers.
7. Ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
8. Overseeing quality control processes related to materials procurement.
9. Addressing and resolving any issues or discrepancies that arise in the procurement process.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for the Permanent Purchasing Manager position should have the following qualifications:

1. A bachelor's degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a purchasing management role in the manufacturing industry.
3. Proven experience in inventory management, negotiation, strategic planning, supplier relationship management, budgeting, forecasting, materials management, and quality control.
4. In-depth knowledge of polyethylene and polypropylene resins.
5. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to conduct cost analysis and implement cost-saving measures.
6. Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
7. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
8. A proactive approach, with the ability to anticipate potential issues and implement effective solutions.
9. A strong understanding of industry standards and regulations.
10. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and purchasing management software.
