Job Accountabilities:
- Ensures parts needed for upcoming units are in stock and expedited where needed.
- Contacts Vendors concerning parts shortages and tracks shipments of parts in route.
- Provides to Supply Chain Manager expected delivery date of parts and updates Reports where needed.
- Makes suggestions to Supply Chain Manager of units needing to be pushed further back in production due to major parts shortage.
- Works closely with Inventory Auditors & BOM Coordinator on inventory corrections to purchased parts.
- Compiles and prepares spreadsheets of missing parts and delivery dates.
- Maintains Open Order Reports from Multiple Vendors.
- Assist in in maintain vendor files and searching for new vendors to remain competitive.
- Ensures quality of purchased material; ensures competitive pricing.
- Assist in daily purchasing task.
- Assist with any other special request as needed.
Job Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
- Two to three years job experience or equivalent in demonstrated experience and ability.
- Computer skills to include prior use of Microsoft programs Word and Excel.
- Use Internet to track orders.
- Organizational skills to monitor several orders from multiple vendors.
- Verbal and written communication skills for contact with suppliers during the expediting process.
- General knowledge of Taylor Parts System would be a plus.
