We are a family-oriented Midwest based company in Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Michigan. As a result of our growth, we have a need for a Purchasing Assistant to generate and process stock purchase orders.

What You Get To Do

  • Performs purchase activities for a list of specific vendors as follows:
  • Prepares and submits stock purchase orders. Online entry of purchase orders on vendor's web portal
  • Responds to internal customer inquiries about order status and order changes.
  • Enters purchasing documents into the Document management system
  • Verifies accuracy of vendor invoice and process for payment
  • Contacts suppliers in order to schedule or expedite deliveries and to resolve shortages, missed or late deliveries and other problems
  • Reviews requisition orders to verify accuracy, terminology and specifications.
  • Assists with physical inventory as needed
  • May perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

What We Need From You

Associate's degree in a related field a plus.

Minimum one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience with ERP systems a plus.

Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel and the use of the Internet.

Problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
