We are currently seeking an experienced, talented, and dedicated Permanent Pump Mechanic for our dynamic team in the Manufacturing industry. As a Pump Mechanic, you will be an integral part of our operations, ensuring that our crucial pump systems are maintained and repaired to the highest standards. Job Details

Responsibilities:

1. Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on various types of pumps including centrifugal, positive displacement, and submersible pumps.
2. Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with pumps and motors, and devise solutions to rectify them.
3. Overhaul and repair pumps and their components using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring and testing instruments.
4. Work closely with the operations team to understand the requirements and provide mechanical support to ensure smooth operation.
5. Maintain strict safety standards and protocols at all times, in compliance with company and industry regulations.
6. Complete all necessary documentation related to repair, maintenance, and safety procedures.
7. Provide recommendations for improving pump reliability and performance.
8. Work under minimal supervision and be able to manage time effectively to meet deadlines.

Qualifications:

1. Minimum 2 years of experience as a Pump Mechanic or in a similar role within the energy sector.
2. Proven experience with pump maintenance and repair, including familiarity with various types of pumps such as centrifugal, positive displacement, and submersible pumps.
3. Strong knowledge of motors and mechanical maintenance.
4. Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose issues with pumps and motors.
5. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring and testing instruments.
6. Demonstrated commitment to maintaining high safety standards.
7. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
8. Strong communication and team-working skills.
9. Relevant technical qualifications or certifications would be advantageous.
