Staff Accountant to join their team. This firm operates two offices - one in Metro West and one on the South Shore - with flexibility to work from either or both offices.
Responsibilities of the
Staff Accountant: - Prepare diverse tax returns (Individual, Corporate, Partnership, Non-Profit, Estate Trust, S-Corp).
- Handle attestation engagements (Audit, Review, Compilation, Agreed-Upon Procedures) for Corporations, Municipalities, Non-Profits.
- Document, evaluate, and execute internal control tests.
- Prepare GAAP-compliant financial statements.
Requirements for the
Staff Accountant position:
- The Staff Accountant should hold a Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
- The Staff Accountant should hold CPA or be a CPA candidate.
- Strong grasp of basic accounting and understanding of US GAAP.
- Effective written and oral communication.
- Working knowledge of audit procedures, FASB, and GASB.
- Prior knowledge of ProSystems fxTax, fx Engagement, QuickBooks preferred
