Job Title: Public Health Program Director
Location: Nashville, TN

Job Description:
  • Provide essential support, including answering programmatic questions and providing technical assistance to sub-grantees across Tennessee who participate in the program
  • Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of program initiatives focusing on health equity.
  • Conduct regular meetings with sub-recipients and staff
  • Communicate the program procedures and projects to staff and partners
  • Review, produce, and disseminate data-driven, evidence-informed and equitable resources
  • Monitor trends in program uptake with a focus on serving disproportionately burdened populations
  • Assist the Program Director with aspects of grant management, including monitoring, reporting, etc.
  • Participate in the development, execution, and monitoring of contracts
  • Perform other related duties as required
  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelors degree and at least three years experience working in public health.
  • Substitution of Experience or Education: Additional graduate coursework in a business or health-related field may be substituted on a year-for-year basis. Additional qualifying professional experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
The preferred candidate will have:
  • Strong written and oral communication skills (grant/report writing, presentations)
  • Experience implementing evidence-informed strategies
  • Experience with evaluation and continuous quality improvement
  • Experience conducting trainings
  • Experience with health-focused community outreach
  • Experience with Microsoft Office programs (i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.)
  • Public health experience with a background in social work, community health, community outreach, etc.
  • Reliable internet access
