Job Title: Public Health Program Director Location: Nashville, TN Duration: 3+ Months Job Description: - Provide essential support, including answering programmatic questions and providing technical assistance to sub-grantees across Tennessee who participate in the program
- Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of program initiatives focusing on health equity.
- Conduct regular meetings with sub-recipients and staff
- Communicate the program procedures and projects to staff and partners
- Review, produce, and disseminate data-driven, evidence-informed and equitable resources
- Monitor trends in program uptake with a focus on serving disproportionately burdened populations
- Assist the Program Director with aspects of grant management, including monitoring, reporting, etc.
- Participate in the development, execution, and monitoring of contracts
- Perform other related duties as required
- Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelors degree and at least three years experience working in public health.
- Substitution of Experience or Education: Additional graduate coursework in a business or health-related field may be substituted on a year-for-year basis. Additional qualifying professional experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
The preferred candidate will have: - Strong written and oral communication skills (grant/report writing, presentations)
- Experience implementing evidence-informed strategies
- Experience with evaluation and continuous quality improvement
- Experience conducting trainings
- Experience with health-focused community outreach
- Experience with Microsoft Office programs (i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.)
- Public health experience with a background in social work, community health, community outreach, etc.
- Reliable internet access
