The Public Health Nursing Consultant 1 will conduct medical record review of Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome (NAS) cases to ensure complete capture of case information. Responsibilities include:
Maintaining status of all infant medical record requests in REDCap
Requesting, reviewing, and collating infant and maternal medical records from facilities using a developed algorithm
Reviewing and abstracting assigned electronic medical records
Working closely with the NAS Surveillance Team to identify issues and ensure data processes are complete and accurate
Maintaining partnerships with medical records office staff and providing feedback as it relates to process improvements.
