Chillicothe Correctional Institution in Chillicothe, OH - Seeking an experienced Psychologist to join their comprehensive team.
- Duration: At least 3 Months from projected start date.
- Hours/Week: 40.
- Pay rate: $70/hour
- Minimum Education Level: Doctoral Degree
- Start Time 7:00 AM
- End Time 3:30 PM
- Mon-Friday / No weekends/holidays time can be flexed to work 8am-4pm
- Must have Ohio License
Responsibilities:
- Provides psychological services to patients, residents, consumers, students &/or inmates, provides advice & consultation on psychological matters
- Follows up on treatment & writes progress reports; conducts psychological evaluations &/or court order forensic evaluations
- Conducts individual & group counseling & psychotherapy
- Conducts ongoing assessments of inmates at all times to identify, prevent &/or contain any significant lethality risks amongst inmates for imminent harm to self or others
- Provides psychological treatment to inmates in form of psycho-educational classes
- Evaluates defendant / patient for mental status, evaluates competence to stand trial &/or sanity at time of offense & writes comprehensive forensic report & recommendation for courts
Major Worker Characteristics:
- Knowledge of Ohio revise d code chapters (e.g., 2945, 4732, ); Ohio administrative code (e.g., section American psychological association forensic psychological guidelines; ethical issues within forensic psychology; adult parole authority laws, rule s & guidelines; criminology, social psychology; clinical psychology; interviewing; psychotherapy; psycho diagnosis; counseling; statistics; employee training & development ; Ohio ethics laws & statutes; biological basis of behavior;, neuropsychology;, psychopharmacology; counseling.
Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment:
- License to practice psychology as issued by Ohio Stat e Board of Psychology per Section 4732.12 or 4732.15 (A) of Ohio Revised Code.
Training And Development Required To Remain In The Classification After Employment:
- Biennial renewal of licensure as psychologist.
