Relies on knowledge, experience and judgment with limited direction and supervision. Requires a Master's Degree in Psychology and Licensure from the Board of Practicing Psychologists. Experience with the population served preferred.

Education, Licensure, and Experience required for the position include:
Master's Degree in Psychology from an accredited college or university required. Prefer background in Human Services with hands-on clinical experience and training dealing with the MR/DD population or related experience may also qualify. Experience in conducting generalized evaluations and assessments for diverse groups (multi-handicapped, dual diagnosis, severe and profound MR, emotionally disturbed, etc.).

Physical requirements to perform essential functions of the job included:
Regularly required to lift 10 lbs. Must be able to lift a minimum of 15 lbs. Must be able to pull minimum of 10 lbs. Must be able to squat, kneel, crawl, crouch, climb, and stoop. Must be able to regularly use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. Required to regularly stand and walk. Must be able to demonstrate proficiency in CPR from the floor level requiring to work on hands, knees, bending, standing and lifting. Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision. Must be able to talk and hear.

RHA is Looking for a Psychologist to join our Team

RHA Health Services is seeking Psychologist interested in joining our clinical team. Our Psychologist provides provides quality individual and specific habilitative training activities to maximize the independent functioning of each people supported while minimizing the individual's challenging behaviors.

The Psychologist is responsible for:
  • Develops Behavior Support Programs for people supported with high frequency, high intensity challenging behaviors identified by the interdisciplinary team, including an emphasis on strategies for teaching alternate adaptive behaviors as well as strategies for reducing the frequency and intensity of challenging behaviors.
  • Counsels and assists people supported in developing and maintaining important relationships with peers, friends and family members.
  • Works closely with the clinical/professional management staff to maintain communication and provide feedback, standardize procedures, expedite implementation of the Person Centered Plan and work-flow and to improve effectiveness of direct support staff.
  • Supports staff in all service sites by addressing their concerns of people supported behavior challenges in a timely fashion
  • Ensures accurate calculation of data for monthly progress notes and review of all behavior data.
  • Completes thorough analysis of data and relates results to past performance.

Education/Experience:

  • Master's Degree in Psychology from an accredited college or university required
