PROGRAM OVERVIEW

The patients and families served at Franciscan Children's represent a culturally and linguistically diverse population, who present with a broad range of medical and behavioral health diagnoses. Our patients often include individuals exhibiting a variety of clinical symptoms (spanning the DSM-5-TR categories). Our patients also frequently present with a variety of congenital and acquired conditions. Approximately one third of all outpatient therapy is conducted utilizing interpretive services. The Department of Behavioral Health Services (BHS), is a highly interdisciplinary and collaborative department comprised of psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, and expressive therapists.

GENERAL SUMMARY

Come join a warm and collaborative behavioral health department that is focused on high quality patient care and a team-oriented approach.

We are seeking a licensed psychologist with a specialty in autism spectrum disorder, neurodevelopmental disorders, and young children, who will be responsible for the delivery of clinical services as well as supervision of other clinicians and/or interns. The individual will provide developmental, diagnostic, and neuropsychological testing services through our outpatient clinic, autism service, and inpatient medical floors, and will work collaboratively with other departments in the hospital to ensure continuity of care for patients. In addition, they will provide individual, family and group therapy services in the Behavioral Health Services Department. This individual will also participate in the supervision of doctoral interns through our APA-accredited internship program. Opportunities are available to further develop areas of specialty and present on topics of interest in hospital-wide Grand Rounds. The licensed psychologist is expected to assume a leadership role in the development of the department as it continues to expand. Applicants must have experience in a pediatric setting; preference is given to those who have had training on multi-cultural issues and experience working with individuals and families from diverse backgrounds. This is a full-time position with benefits.
