The Psychologist II will provide clinical services, clinical supervision and case management for outpatient cases; participate in hiring, supervising, and evaluating department staff; and participate in programs of systematic research. The incumbent will also provide psychology and behavioral supervision to trainees seeking related training requirements.

  1. Provide direct clinical services, clinical supervision for American Psychological Association (APA) and Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), and case management of outpatients.
  2. Collect, maintain, and evaluate clinical outcomes from individual caseload and provide accountability data to department leadership, as appropriate.
  3. Provide supportive clinical services to families of outpatients.
  4. Participate in clinic and/or department-based research initiatives as assigned.
  5. Participate in hiring, supervising, and evaluating Behavioral Psychology staff for specific programs.
  6. Provide supervision and training for Behavioral Psychology pre-doctoral interns and post-doctoral fellows.
  7. Provide supervision of behavior therapists seeking board certification in behavior analysis.
  8. Participate in administrative, clinical, and training meetings as necessary.
  9. Conduct applied clinical research relevant to pediatric populations seen within the clinic.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must possess and maintain licensure as a psychologist in the State of Maryland.
  • Must possess and maintain board certification in behavior analysis (either BCBA or BCBA-D).
  • Must have completed BACB 8-hour supervisor training, or be supervisor-eligible.

EDUCATION:

  • Doctoral degree in Psychology from an American Psychological Association (APA)/Canadian Psychological Association (CPA)-accredited college or university required.
  • Completion of APA/CPA-accredited pre-doctoral internship required.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working with children with and without disabilities required. This experience may be satisfied through postdoctoral residency training in child clinical psychology.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience providing supervision to trainees and/or paraprofessionals serving children with behavior disorders preferred.
