Northside Hospital is currently seeking a dedicated PRN Consult Liaison Psychiatrist to join our dynamic team. The PRN Consult Liaison Psychiatrist will play a critical role in providing psychiatric consultation services to patients admitted to any of our 5 campuses. This position offers a unique opportunity to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to assess, diagnose, and treat patients with psychiatric disorders in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities
- Conduct psychiatric consultations for patients admitted to the hospital for medical or surgical reasons.
- Perform comprehensive psychiatric assessments and formulate treatment plans tailored to each patient's unique needs.
- Collaborate with medical and surgical teams to provide integrated care for patients with comorbid medical and psychiatric conditions.
- Provide crisis intervention and management for patients experiencing acute psychiatric symptoms.
- Educate and support hospital staff on psychiatric issues, including suicide risk assessment, de-escalation techniques, and psychotropic medications.
- Participate in multidisciplinary rounds, case conferences, and treatment planning meetings as needed.
Qualifications
- MD or DO
- Board certification or eligibility in Psychiatry.
- Active GA License or the ability to obtain one
- Prior experience in Consult Liaison Psychiatry preferred but not required.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care.
