•   Provide quality patient care, clinical supervision, and multi-disciplinary collaboration.
•   Foster a care philosophy that considers biological, psychological, and environmental factors in treating mental disorders.
•   Proven experience or strong desire to provide clinical supervision amongst an interdisciplinary team. The Psychiatric Supervisor will see new patients, perform clinical evaluations, foster long-lasting therapeutic relationships with patients, provide medication checks, collaborate with clinical leadership, and supervise clinical staff.

Start Date: Before EOY 2024.

The individual for this role will start by primarily seeing patients (weekly target of 50) as they acclimate to our practice. We anticipate the individual will assume supervisory responsibilities over the course of 3-6 months of starting (The timeline for this transition is based on business needs).

Job Responsibilities & Qualifications

Responsibility Composition

70% - Direct clinical care with adherence to our comprehensive practice model

20% - Team oversight and Administrative Tasks: Conduct 1:1 meetings with NP supervisor, attend larger supervision meetings and lectures, provide ad-hoc support to supervisees, conduct 1:1 Team meetings with junior MD on the team if applicable, meeting with clinical leadership. Additional administrative duties include reviewing discharge summaries, cosigning notes, and signing prior authorizations

10% - Notes, collateral contact, and administrative work related to patient care

Responsibilities

Clinical
•  Provide excellent quality clinical care on a consistent basis that exemplifies Rivia Mind's culture, values, and guiding principles.
•  Conduct comprehensive intake evaluations and develop curated patient-centered treatment plans
•  Provide appropriate Psychotherapy practices that leverage various modalities (CBT, DBT, motivational interviewing, etc.) with proper Psychopharmacology prescribing practices
•  Appropriately prescribe medication prescriptions & refills considering the best judgment of the patient's wellbeing
•  Provides clinical support & counseling to diverse patient populations in a tele-health environment
•  Curate comprehensive patient-centered treatment plans and provide resources as needed
•  Provide clinical guidance and valued input to patients and peers
•  Provide services to a diverse demographic of patients with an average patient standard of 42 patients seen per week (Caseload and weekly patient standard numbers may vary based on clinical judgment, patient needs, scheduling, etc.)
•  Participate in and support routine and ad-hoc clinical-wide meetings and internal trainings to foster an engaging and continuous learning team environment
•  Comply with clinical standards and adhere to timely and thorough session note documentation
•  Audit documentation and prescriptions of supervisees, providing medication management education and disciplinary action if necessary
•  Be involved in the onboarding of new Psychiatrists to provide guidance, trainings, and complete required onboarding tasks
•  Keep up to date with all administrative and operations responsibilities related to patient care (notes, lost to follow-up tracking, policies regarding appointment cancellations, etc)
•  Hold ultimate responsibility for the quality of clinical care for the team
•  Lead the team to provide excellent patient care. Provide training, mentorship, and constructive feedback as needed and when appropriate, and ensure a satisfactory work product is provided in a positive work environment for the team
•  Hold weekly 1:1 with NP Supervisor to provide performance feedback, mentorship, and support
•  Review any concerns related to clinical care delivered by NPs
•  Review complex or high-risk cases
•  Review patient complaints or escalations from Clinical Ops regarding clinician performance and coach NP Supervisor on delivering feedback
•  Discuss NP Supervisors' patient care and compliance with the clinical data sheet
•  Identify opportunities for support and coaching for NP Supervisors and their direct reports
•  Hold 1:1 weekly meeting with any MD or DO on the team to provide performance feedback, mentorship, and support (NP supervisor does not provide direct supervision for these clinicians)
•  Review any concerns related to clinical care
•  Review complex or high-risk cases
•  Review patient complaints or escalations from Clinical Ops
•  Discuss patient care and compliance with the clinical data sheet
•  Identify opportunities for support and coaching
•  Be familiar with all policies and procedures related to patient care and hold the team accountable for adherence.
•  The NP Supervisor will have primary day-to-day responsibility for the team, but this role has ultimate accountability.
•  In addition, this role is responsible for performance and adherence for direct reports, including the NP Supervisor and any MD or DO on the team.
•  Support the NP Supervisor to ensure adherence to employee policies regarding PTO and calendar management. Ensure the NP Supervisor effectively follows procedures and provides feedback regarding compliance as needed. Be the representative of your direct reports and support your NP Supervisors as needed to Communicate with People Ops for any team member needs (e.g., Long-Term Leave, Bereavement, Performance Reviews).
•  As needed, review & determine transfer patient requests, adhere to any disciplinary action procedures, review & approve timesheets (if applicable) and time off requests to ensure accuracy and proper coverage to maintain business and function needs
•  Act as point of contact for escalations from the for Clinical Ops team/NP supervisor for issues related to productivity or clinical administrative responsibilities (eg late notes)
•  Provide ad-hoc support to NPs on the team via email or brief meetings, with special attention to high-risk cases, looping in NP Supervisor for further support
•  Meet once a month with SW supervision group to create relationships for ease of future escalations and support. Identify special topics or educational opportunities for SW group Leadership
•  Co-host weekly team meetings together with team NP Supervisor
•  Act as an active participant in supporting Rivia Mind culture initiatives
•  Share company announcements with the team
•  Provide engaging, collaborative, and supportive environment for review of cases and clinical questions
•  Attend weekly Rivia Wide meeting and participate actively as appropriate
•  Hold 1:1 "skip" meetings with each NP on the team every other month
•  Meet weekly 1:1 with Medical Director
•  Hold a weekly drop-in open-office hour timeslot to provide clinical supervision and feedback to our interdisciplinary team and accommodate 1:1 meetings as necessary for further support to our clinicians

•  Perform administrative duties, including reviewing hospital discharge summaries, signing prior authorizations, and cosigning notes

Required Education Level: Doctorate Degree
•  Earned a Doctor of Medicine degree from an accredited school
