Job Description Under the direction of the Medical Director of Behavioral Health Services, the Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner will assist attending Behavioral Health physicians in all aspects of psychiatric care. All work will be performed in close collaboration with attending physicians responsible for the patient. Psychiatric services provided in a variety of settings, including Inpatient, Psychiatric Day Treatment, Intensive Outpatient, Outpatient, as well as an Urgent Care Walk-In setting Company Description This is an incredible opportunity to join an innovative, trauma-informed team of behavioral health professionals in an inpatient and outpatient setting where you can be part of the solution in helping individuals in our community live their best lives. Qualifications Education & Training: Master's degree in Nursing, Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with appropriate licensure and credentialing to practice under the supervision of a physician in the state of Maryland. Credentialing through the Maryland Nursing Board, we well as the health system, in the provision of advanced practice skills. Work Orientation & Experience: A minimum of two years of direct psychiatric experience. Skills & Abilities: Ability to (a) handle multiple priorities; (b) work independently, (c) take initiative in achieving expected results, and (d) handle confidential information. Demonstrated skill in: (a) making effective decisions, (b) quality improvement activity (c) problem-solving, (d) crisis management, (e) organizing work, setting priorities, meeting deadlines, (f) attention to detail and follow through, (g) effective negotiation, (h) resource management, (i) ability to work successfully with diverse types of individuals including management, staff and the general public.
