As the Capture and Proposal Manager at NavAide, you will play a crucial role in driving the organization's growth strategy through effective capture management and proposal development. You will collaborate closely with the growth team, executive leadership, and various departments to identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities. The ideal candidate is a proactive and results-oriented professional with a strong background in business development, capture management, and proposal writing.

Responsibilities & Duties:

Capture Management:

  • Identify and track potential contract opportunities, developing comprehensive plans to execute on those opportunities.
  • Conduct thorough analysis of customer needs and goals, crafting strategies to effectively address them.
  • Lead the bid/no-bid process, providing detailed analysis to determine the viability of pursuing specific opportunities.
  • Define winning propositions and key differentiators, taking ownership of the entire capture process.

Proposal Management:

  • Establish proposal teams, assigning roles and responsibilities, and developing a structured schedule for proposal development.
  • Deconstruct proposal requirements, ensuring compliance and alignment with customer specifications.
  • Author technical, pricing, and staffing sections of proposals as necessary, incorporating insights from relevant stakeholders.
  • Evaluate market dynamics and competitors to inform pricing strategies and enhance proposal competitiveness.
  • Develop charts, graphics, and other visual aids to enhance proposal content and presentation.
  • Oversee proposal compliance, coordinate color team reviews, and manage the packaging and delivery process.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Proven track record in business development, capture management, and proposal writing within the government contracting industry.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to leverage data and market insights to drive decision-making.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency in business tools such as Salesforce, Microsoft Office Suite, and proposal management software.
  • Certifications in capture management and proposal writing (e.g., Shipley, APMP) preferred.
