Job Details

Key Responsibilities:

1. Client Representation: Provide robust legal defense for clients facing property damage claims. This includes handling cases related to incidents such as fires, floods, structural failures, and other property-related damages.

2. Case Management: Oversee a docket of property damage defense cases from start to finish. This involves case assessment, strategy development, and managing all phases of the litigation process.

3. Legal Research and Analysis: Conduct detailed legal research and analysis pertinent to property damage law. Stay abreast of current laws and regulations to formulate effective defense strategies.

4. Litigation and Courtroom Representation: Represent clients in court, at hearings, trials, and arbitration sessions. Argue motions and engage in trial advocacy to defend the interests of your clients.

5. Negotiation and Settlements: Engage in negotiations with opposing counsel to reach settlements that favor your clients. Advise clients on the risks and benefits of litigation versus settlement.

6. Client Communication: Maintain ongoing communication with clients, keeping them informed about the progress of their cases and advising them on legal matters.

7. Collaboration with Legal Team: Work collaboratively with other attorneys, paralegals, and legal support staff to ensure a cohesive approach to case handling.

8. Compliance and Ethical Standards: Adhere to all legal, professional, and ethical standards, ensuring compliance with state and federal laws.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar in FL
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in property damage law or related field.
  • Proven track record in litigation and defense work.
  • Excellent research, analytical, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
  • Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
