We have a Real Estate and Property Management group that's been around for over 2 decades. Most of our properties consist of commercial real estate, so our ideal candidate will have experience with MRI and CAM reconciliations.

This is an onsite position - no hybrid or remote work is currently offered.

Are you a seasoned Property Accountant with a knack for problem-solving and a keen eye for detail? If you are passionate about commercial real estate and finance, we have an exciting opportunity for you. Our company is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Permanent Property Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. This position will focus on CAM reconciliation, property accounting, and financial reporting. You will play an integral role in ensuring the financial health and success of our real estate portfolio.

Responsibilities:

As a Permanent Property Accountant, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

1. Performing CAM reconciliations and ensuring the accuracy of all related transactions.
2. Managing property accounting functions, including accounts payable and receivable.
3. Maintaining and updating the general ledger on a regular basis.
4. Executing account reconciliations and identifying any discrepancies.
5. Preparing financial reports and presenting them to the management team.
6. Collaborating with the finance team to develop and implement financial strategies.
7. Ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and company policies.
8. Assisting with budgeting and forecasting activities.
9. Participating in financial audits and implementing recommended changes.
10. Keeping abreast of industry trends and regulations to maintain up-to-date knowledge.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, you should have the following qualifications:

1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in property accounting, specifically within the commercial real estate sector.
3. Proficiency in MRI and CAM reconciliation is a must.
4. Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and account reconciliation.
5. Experience in financial reporting and regulatory compliance.
6. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
7. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
8. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
9. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
10. CPA certification is preferred but not required.
