PROPERTY ACCOUNTANT
ABOUT THE COMPANY:

OVERVIEW OF THE PROPERTY ACCOUNTANT ROLE:
- General ledger maintenance, reconciliations, and work papers for a diverse portfolio of commercial and residential properties
- Property Accountant records journal entries as needed
- Reconcile CAM's, bill backs and calculate escalations
- Provide budget to actual variance analysis
- Act as a resource for Director of Operations, Regional Managers, Property Administration Staff and Accounting Department Personnel on accounting issues
- Property Accountant assists in preparing year end and quarterly financial statements for investment funds
- Maintain, reconcile, and record monthly third party property management accounting
- Provide back up and support to the Fund Controller and Assistant Controller as needed
- Prepare special reports and projects, collect, analyze and summarize information and trends
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS FOR PROPERTY ACCOUNTANT:
- BS degree in Accounting or related discipline
- 1+ years of experience within real estate accounting
- The Property Accountant requires very strong excel skills
- RealPage experience preferred but not required
