This is a full-time, permanent position where you will be responsible for managing all aspects of financial reporting, account reconciliation, and property accounting.

Job Details

Responsibilities:
As a Property Accountant, your primary responsibilities will include:
1. Preparing and analyzing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for assigned properties.
2. Conducting account reconciliation, identifying discrepancies, and implementing corrective measures.
3. Managing all aspects of property accounting, including budgeting, cost accounting, and fund accounting.
4. Assisting in the preparation and monitoring of annual budgets and forecasts for assigned properties.
5. Ensuring compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards.
6. Collaborating with internal and external auditors during financial and operational audits.
7. Providing financial advice and guidance to property managers and senior management.
8. Reviewing and improving financial policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
9. Participating in special projects and performing other related duties as required.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Property Accountant position will have the following qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. A minimum of three years of experience in property accounting or a similar role.
3. Proficiency in financial reporting, account reconciliation, property accounting, financial statements, budgeting, fund accounting, and cost accounting.
4. Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.
5. Working knowledge of financial software and database systems.
6. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
7. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial information.
8. Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in all work.
9. Professional certification such as CPA, CMA, or CGA is an asset.
