Position
Radio Freq / Data Links - Team Lead Location Mary Esther, FL Responsibilities With minimal supervision, the Team lead will: Work closely with the government to support and develop the Special Warfare Technology Integration Support Cooperative (SW TISC) RF/DL initiatives in support of SOF operations globally.
Lead a small RF/DL team of dedicated professionals to integrate with other local TISCs in a Development, Engineering Evaluation, and Test lab, testing and exploit new and emerging technologies for the advancement of SOF missions
Work as a member of a diverse engineering, testing and support team to ensure all operating mission nodes (operations centers, airborne weapon systems, ground teams, and other) can interoperate and execute synchronized mission activities via their mission systems connected through various mission networks
Ensure RF/DL systems are interoperable and networked within and external to SOF forces
Support integration of conventional, special operations, and other systems into tactical kits used in-garrison and deployed.
Work with other functional area leads to ensure full support and integration of unique components and government systems of record
Lead small- to large-sized projects and ensures deliverables and timelines are met in accordance with the project plan
Provide training for products, systems and services fielded and/or supported by the SW TISC Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
Self-starter, motivated, shows initiative, and learns fast
Demonstrated project and resource management understanding and resource planning to facilitate long range planning and life cycle support of fielded systems
Ability to work on multiple projects, managing multiple stakeholders/product owners simultaneously
Experience as an operational team leader supporting SOF missions
An in-depth knowledge of the AFSOC organizational structures, intelligence structures, functions, and procedures, as well as command relationships and responsibilities
Familiar with the wide range of AFSOC weapon systems and their deployment in Special Operations environments
Working knowledge and experience with C2/ISR Systems w/emphasis on Link 16 (PRC-161), L3Harris radio FoS (PRC-117G, PRC-160, PRC-163, and PRC-167), to include other MANET radios (Trellisware & Persistent System) and working knowledge of TAK products, SDN, TACLAN, and StarShield communication systems, understanding their operational employment and the capability provided to the warfighter
Ability to author, edit, and review technical/engineering documents and business processes to ensure continuity, compliance with DoD standards and system lifecycle sustainment
Excellent communication skills: Shows tact, effective listening skills, follow through, is detail-oriented and organized
Ability to provide technical guidance and leadership to RD/DL engineers and operational support personnel
Current DoD 8570 IAT certification (Sec+ CE or higher) Highly desired:
Prior SOF team
Certification in one or more of the following: PMI-PMP, PMI-ACP, CSM
Experience supporting Special Tactics ATAK RF/DL requirements
Advanced knowledge of Airborne C2 systems, Radio Frequency and Datalink communications
Experience or working knowledge of COMSEC materials to include Radio, crypto configuration, and KEYMAT loading knowledge Security Requirements Must have a Secret security clearance to start with the ability to obtain a TOP SECRET/SCI (TS/SCI) Physical Demands Lift over 35 LBS Work Environment Work environment is primarily administrative office, test lab and 14-foot antenna platform
Potential TDY's to CONUS and OCONUS locations - as needed
