Login Now Project Planner/Scheduler Company:Vogt Power International Location:Louisville KY Job Type:Project Management Position Summary: Join a talented team of engineering professionals at Vogt Power International. Vogt is based in Louisville, KY and specializes in the design, manufacture and supply of equipment and solutions to the power generation industry. We are an industry leader in heat recovery steam generators (HRSGs) with both domestic and international customers. The Scheduler position works directly with the Project Team in support of the Company's contractual goals and objectives. This includes establishing and maintaining the Project baseline, updating, measuring and reporting progress, analyzing deviations, and recommending progress improvement actions. This position will also lead discussions with the Project Team and Management on the status of the Project and identify Project risks and opportunities. Requires advanced knowledge of Critical Path Methodology (CPM) and experience with Primavera and MS Project. Essential Responsibilities: Develops and maintains project schedules based on input from the proposal schedule, the Project Manager and the Project Engineer Oversees weekly progress updates from the Project Team Reviews schedule status of purchased materials, subcontractors, manufacturing and engineering accomplishments. Identified issues must be communicated to the Project Team timely Provides weekly update reporting for the project including 4 week look ahead, critical path analysis and manpower/resource reporting and forecasting. Monitors schedule progress and identifies detrimental variations as early as possible (CPI and SPI). Assists with the development of a recovery plan when significant variations in actual vs planned earned value is identified Responsible for determining and reporting any risk events or issues that arise that can affect Project Cost or Margin Educate the Team on Industry Standards: advises the team on policies methodologies and processes Supports Project Controls Analyst with Monthly Project Reporting Supports proposal planning To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Job Requirements / Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Education & Experience Requirements: Bachelors Degree Advanced systems skills in Primavera are essential 5-8 years Planning/ Scheduling experience Industrial Manufacturing or Construction experience a plus Involvement with AACE International (AACEi) a plus Position Qualifications: Strong work ethic, team player, dedicated, reliable, self-motivated and positive attitude Organized and detail oriented with an ability to work independently Able to prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines Must be accurate and efficient Flexible and able to drive/ guide change Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-entity, global environment Excellent written and oral communication skills, ability to communicate effectively Risk identification and management skills a plus Earned Value experience a plus To provide greater transparency to candidates, we include base pay ranges for all US-based job postings that encompass all potential locations and levels for the open position. The base pay range for this Project Planner/Scheduler role is $75,550 - $103,750 annually.
