US DoD TOP SECRET CLEARANCE PREFERRED DESCRIPTION OF POSITION/DUTIES: UNITED STATES CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED This position reports directly to the Senior Vice President of Launch Support Services. As the Project Manager, has responsibility to execute the corporate vision to establish capabilities associated with Launch Support Services. Manages the efforts of direct and matrixed staff and contract consultants to complete tasks on time and within budget. Support in the development of project schedules, definition of critical milestones, and the integration and upkeep of the Integrated Master Schedule across all projects. Support creation and management of project budgets for the completion of approved tasks, working with business analysts to monitor planned and actual expenditures, cash flow and performance to plan. Oversee contracting with outside agencies for support project execution, to include establishment and scoring of selection criteria and monitoring of contractor performance. Provide reporting to ensure internal and external stakeholders are informed of progress, deviations from plans and risks. Recommend changes to project planning to maintain or improve cost, schedule, technical and risk factors, to include developing innovative solutions to ensure successful project completion. During the initial program phase of development and design of the Launch Support Services (LSS), responsibilities and duties include: Establishes business planning products, to include budget projections and resource estimation. Develop program ConOps and associated processes and procedures. Works with stakeholders (internal and external) to define facility and operational requirements. Acts as technical Subject Matter Expert for capabilities definition During execution phases, responsibilities and duties include: Program Point of Contact for other corporate elements, such as Operations, BD, HR, Finance and Accounting. Working with Operations staff to fulfill customer support and services delivery. Other duties may include: Making presentations to investors, business partners and company executives concerning different phases of a project. Work closely with Business Development to establish customer relationships and business pipeline. Support proposal development and reviews. Direct customer support. EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in project management or related technical field with direct project management experience. Master's degree in Business Management is a plus. Strong Leadership, business, and project management skills, to include areas such as: Requirements management Operational planning Budgeting and monitoring Reporting Team leadership to include contractor management. Demonstrated senior level leadership. Results-driven and detail-oriented. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to act as change agents and instill confidence to embrace change as well. Certifications PMP is highly desired. L6S is a plus. Excellent verbal and written communication skills Attentive to details Knowledge of computer operating systems, hardware, and software with proficiency is Excel, MS Project, or similar applications. Desired Years of Experience: 10 to 15 years and above experience as a project Manager/Director This candidate should possess strong expertise and experience in facility requirements definition and buildout. Experience in aerospace and Government Civil/DoD projects is highly desired. Personal/Cultural Requirements: Highly motivated, driven, self-starter committed to safety, teamwork, and improvement. Ability to communicate clearly and accurately with people with diverse backgrounds. Demonstrated ability to work with limited supervision to develop and manage many tasks and schedules simultaneously. SECURITY CLEARANCE: To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, applicant must be a U.S. citizen as defined by ITAR (22 CFR 120.15). Current TS/SCI clearance or ability to successfully complete a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI). It is strongly preferred that you have a current Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) with polygraph that has been completed within the last 5 years.
