JOB DESCRIPTION: Under the leadership of the Head of New Machine Project Management, you will be responsible for an expanded role including: Managing a portfolio of large turnkey packaging industry projects that are located within the Krones North America region (Canada, USA, Central America / Caribbean), including multiple product lines in filling, packaging, and process technology with average overall project value between $5-10M per project. Direct, coordinate, and provide guidance / support of project activities from all phases of Krones project management (planning, execution, and acceptance) and multiple interdisciplinary project teams at an overall project responsibility role, including project engineering / execution strategies, resource planning, manufacturing clarification and procurement, supervision & monitoring of project execution, and closeout phases for turnkey projects. Support sales project management, line solutions, and service management colleagues in creating and clarifying quotations in technical, timeline, and commercial aspects to complete overall project scope / guarantees with customer satisfaction in mind. Periodic on-site project management & visits together with on-site team during specific project milestones and / or consultation of customers by handling claims (incidents & NCR's) and (de-) escalations in case of contract deviations. Controlling of projects, in accordance to Krones project management philosophy, regarding schedule, budget, quality, risk assessments, presenting detailed service quotations and claims management by creating and presenting representative project reports for stakeholders and management. Leading project preparation, clarification, learnings, and closeout feedback for customers, contractors, team members, and Krones management by using interpersonal interaction skills, including the ability to conduct formal presentations, prepare written proposals and execution plans, bid packages etc. QUALIFICATIONS: Requires a bachelor's degree in an industry related field or equivalent experience that normally would be gained by an extensive training program or previous on-the-job experience in site management. Must have at least 3-5 years' experience in the packaging industry, a strong technical background, and knowledge of Krones packaging equipment. Ability as a strong decision maker to assess and analyze project situations for the best possible outcome with projects goals. Must have computer abilities and experience with project scheduling software (MS Project preferred) and spreadsheet software, in a Microsoft Windows environment. Must be able to perform work of a technical, involved nature requiring the use of judgment and independent thinking where only general procedures apply. A substantial degree of interpersonal interaction skills required. Good organization skills preferred. Up to 100% travel (project dependent). Position based in the Krones North America region with assigned locations in USA, Canada, and Central America / Caribbean.
