JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

Project Planning & management

Responsible for managing projects from onset through completion incl. review of literature, identifying team, develop schedules and responsibilities, develop technical/operational requirements, develop specification, leading project meeting, overseeing onsite and off-site construction, etc.

Technology and Process Development

Responsible for activities related to the development of new and improving of existing processes including researching current and emerging technologies.

JOB DESCRIPTION DETAILS

Project Planning
  • Receives project requests; reviews literature/document requirements associated with projects; coordinates with cross-functional teams to establish business goals and strategies.
  • Works with cross-functional teams to identify project team key players and determine project scope and requirements.
  • Develops and schedules team responsibilities; technical/operation requirements; detailed project plans, project budget, timelines, resources, specifications, etc. to accomplish project goals; continually follows up with team to ensure goals are achieved.
  • Develops specifications and investment proposals; obtains architect/contractor bid proposal.
  • Manages the procurement of design, construction and supporting services.

Project Management
  • Manages projects, including leading project meetings; documents issues, action items, user requirements, or deliverables; updates project schedules and plans, project communications, budget tracking, etc.
  • Identifies and tracks project issues, resolves issues where possible or escalates to higher management when needed; assesses and manages risks and drives mitigation activities.
  • Evaluates deliverables prepared by team to ensure work meets specifications and maintains a high level of quality.
  • Attends regularly scheduled meetings to provide project updates and information.
  • Manages project from initial concept through final implementation, utilizing established guidelines and procedures.
  • Schedules and attends meetings with third-party professionals, including but not limited to engineers, code officials, architects, general contractors, city officials, etc. to establish business relationships and ensure projects are implemented according to specifications and guidelines.
  • Oversee all onsite and offsite constructions to monitor compliance with building requirements, cost and time saving potentials (value engineering) and safety regulations as needed.
  • Analyze, manage, and mitigate risks.

Technology and Process development
  • Responsible for activities related to the development of new and improving of existing processes including researching current and emerging technologies, evaluating process cost, quality and performing process characterization and optimization studies using designed experiments, problem-solving and decision-making tools; ensure logistics processes are efficient.
  • Develops and reviews logistics processes to ensure full utilization of equipment and efficient set up of machines; ensures operating at optimum efficiency, including but not limited to cleaning, removing, reassembling, and storing of tools; ensures processes are effective and efficient so tools and machines are available as schedule demands.

KPI Special Projects
  • Participates in developing work programs and project activities such as assessments, position papers, brainstorming, making presentations and special studies.
  • Coordinate and organize project updates with all Managers and Project leaders.

Other
  • Attends meetings as required and/or assigned.
  • Performs other duties as required and/or assigned.

Special Job Dimensions
  • Will be required to travel up to 40% of the time.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Knowledge of computer programs including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Project, PowerPoint, and Visio
  • Knowledge of engineering design and practices

Education, Certification/License & Work Experience
  • Engineering Degree (BS) or equivalent
  • Six Sigma Black Belt/Green Belt preferred.

Total Rewards Package:

Compensation:
  • Base: $89,000 - $116,000 annually (CO), based on specific compensable factors including, but not limited to education, work experience, and geographic market.
  • Bonus: This role will be eligible for participation in a discretionary annual bonus program, pursuant to which an employee may be awarded a percentage of their salary based on the company's performance and their own individual performance.
