Job Description

Project Manager (Heavy Civil)

Our client is seeking a Project Manager responsible for all aspects of heavy civil construction projects including field crew management, project administration, and safety compliance. In order to be successful, this candidate must be detail oriented, able to work on many tasks requiring various skills, have strong written and verbal communication skills, and exhibit excellent time management skills.

Responsibilities
  • Provide daily direction for crews with supplemental documentation using construction drawings & specs.
  • Ensure quality control for all work including conformance with contract documents and local regulations.
  • Generate and verify material take-offs, submit orders and inventory deliveries of materials.
  • Work with project engineer to maintain RFI and submittal logs.
  • Process, track and submit change orders, and monthly progress billings.
  • Perform and document safety audits, maintain safety compliance, ensure a safe working environment, and cultivate a culture of safety.
  • Represent Company at OAC meetings and act as a liaison between owners and company crews.
  • Generate long term and short-term schedules for crews, equipment, & trucking
  • Compile and submit closeout documentation including as-built drawings and testing documentation.
  • Manage CAD drawings, 3D modeling and on-site GPS systems.
  • Work with the project engineer, bid team, administrative team, and other project managers to provide seamless customer service and project management.

Desired Qualifications
  • Experience and/or education in construction management, preferably heavy civil construction with emphasis on utility installation and dirt work
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
  • Extremely detail oriented, and excellent communication skills.
  • Bilingual- Spanish & English
  • Experience with GPS, CAD and survey modeling
  • Proficiency in Bluebeam, AGTEK, and HeavyBid preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $95,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
