We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager in the Civil/Concrete sector to join our dynamic team. This is a permanent position, offering top dollar compensation and the exciting opportunity to work on local projects. You will be an integral part of our construction team, overseeing large-scale heavy highway projects from inception to completion. This role is well-suited for a seasoned professional with a strong background in civil engineering or construction management, possessing a keen eye for detail, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget.

Responsibilities:

1. Manage and oversee all phases of the construction project from conception to completion, ensuring all projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget.
2. Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other construction and building specialists to ensure project objectives are met.
3. Develop and manage detailed project plans, including resource allocation, scheduling, and risk management strategies.
4. Liaise with clients and stakeholders to define project requirements, establish project work plan and deadlines.
5. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, safety standards, and quality control measures.
6. Review and approve project designs and plans, ensuring they meet project objectives and standards.
7. Negotiate contracts with external vendors and subcontractors, ensuring favorable terms and conditions.
8. Monitor project progress, resolve issues and initiate appropriate corrective actions as needed.
9. Prepare and present project updates and progress reports to stakeholders and senior management.
10. Foster a positive and productive work environment, leading and mentoring team members as necessary.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related field from an accredited institution.
2. Minimum of 5 years of proven experience as a Project Manager in the civil/concrete sector, specifically in heavy highway projects.
3. Strong knowledge of construction procedures, materials, and project management principles.
4. Exceptional leadership, organizational, and time-management skills.
5. Proficient in project management software, MS Office suite, and CAD software.
6. Excellent problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail.
7. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to negotiate and build strong relationships with clients, vendors, and team members.
8. Solid understanding of health and safety regulations and quality control standards in the construction industry.
9. Professional Project Management (PMP) certification is a plus.
10. Must be able to handle the physical demands of the job and be willing to work on-site as required.
