We are currently seeking a dynamic and ambitious Project Manager to join our Construction team. This individual will play a crucial role in overseeing a variety of construction projects, from healthcare facilities and multi-family units to government buildings and transit systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction project management, with experience in various industries which may include: healthcare, multi-family, medical facilities, senior living communities, government projects, municipal construction, transit construction, and more. This role requires a minimum of 3+ years of experience in the field.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organize, and direct the completion of specific projects while ensuring these projects are on time, on budget, and within scope.
  • Oversee all stages of project life cycle including conception, planning, execution, monitoring, control, and closure.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other construction and building specialists.
  • Engage with stakeholders, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure all aspects of the project proceed as planned.
  • Manage contracts with vendors and suppliers by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverables.
  • Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire project execution.
  • Monitor project progress continuously and make detailed scheduled reports on measurable items, such as milestones and deliverables.
  • Conduct risk assessments; report and manage issues as they arise.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the onsite project team, ensuring project objectives are met and team members have the necessary resources to carry out their roles effectively.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in project management within the construction industry.
  • Proven track record of managing large scale construction projects, specifically in healthcare, multi-family units, medical facilities, senior living communities, government, municipal, and transit constructions.
  • Proficient in construction project management software such as Procore, MS Project, or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of construction materials, processes, and equipment.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to lead and inspire a team.
  • Ability to read and understand construction drawings, plans, and specifications.
  • Solid understanding of construction health and safety regulations.
  • Outstanding problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • PMP or equivalent certification would be considered an asset.
