Title: Project Manager

Location: 500 S. Grand Central Pkwy, Box (phone number removed), Las Vegas, NV (phone number removed)

Estimated Duration of Job: 12 months to 3 years with the possibility of extension subject to funds

Note:

Is this an on-site or remote position? For this role, the expectation is that the candidate will work on-site for the first 2 to 3 months, then after, an evaluation will be made for telecommute/hybrid capabilities.

Work schedule 4 days a week (M-Thurs) for 40 hours.

Position Classification: Project Manager

Position will function as a Project Manager for software implementation projects for the Clark County Treasurer s Department. The selected candidate will manage the implementation of large-scale municipal tax and revenue collection and accounting system and be responsible for keeping the project on time and within scope as well as ensuring the system vendor(s) are meeting the project milestones as agreed.

Duties, Scope of Work, and/or Milestones:

Develop and maintain requirements documents, project plans, and schedules.

Serve as a liaison with Treasurer s Department staff and the various disciplines and teams within the Treasurer s Department and Clark County IT department.

Foster change acceptance and adoption among frontline employees with new technologies.

Develop communications and training documents tailored to specific audiences, both internal and external

Monitor and communicate project progress and status to stakeholders; perform vendor management activities as key representative from the County to software providers.

Ensure all project work/tasks follow the established change management process; change requests are created and submitted accurately and completed per the approved schedule.

Attend Change Advisory Board (CAB) meeting to support and answer any questions related to submitted change requests.

Responsible for engaging in all project activities and adherence to project milestones set forth in the software supplier s Statement of Work

Minimum Qualifications:

A minimum of eight (8) years in the Information Technology field. Bachelor s Degree or equivalent, plus a minimum five (5) years of experience managing large scale (multi-million budget) software application implementation projects.

Ability to organize and lead high level focus groups, an executive steering committee, and project teams composed of key stakeholders, project sponsors, frontline staff, and department heads.

Documenting functional, non-functional, technical, and business requirements; creating project plans; and monitoring progress using Service-Now, MS Project, and other project management tools.

Previous experience in large-scale system implementations, especially cloud-based technologies

Hands-on experience developing both technical and user-friendly communications.

Ability to communicate effectively with software providers as well as internal staff at all levels.

Proven multi-tasking skills, including ability to work effectively under pressure, handle heavy volumes and meet demanding deadlines.

Excellent command of written and spoken English, should demonstrate fluency in both oral and writing communications.

Knowledge of municipal treasury operations desired, but not required.

Able to pass a stringent criminal background check (May take up to 6 weeks)

Approximate Start Date: TBD based on background check. The selected candidate may be able to start prior to background check completion with limited access, however full access and continued employment is based on passing a stringent criminal background check.
