Overview

The Project Manager is responsible for managing high-visibility OEM and Aftermarket machinery projects. This customer-facing role drives project success through effective leadership, resource utilization, risk management, and technical oversight. The project manager owns the project but operates in a matrix organization with Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Operations, to achieve project requirements and ensure profitability.

Project /Practice Management

Participates in proposal and deliverables review and pre-planning activities.

Acts as liaison to the customer from project kick-off through final acceptance.

Maintains ownership and a hands-on approach to all aspects of assigned projects.

Leads project planning and execution efforts across the organization.

Ensures scope, schedule, and budget performance, tracking and managing all changes.

Communicates with all stakeholders regarding project status and performance.

Manages project budget and cashflow, ensuring timely invoicing and monitoring of receivables.

Minimizes company exposure and risk through appropriate review and mitigation efforts.

Resolves or escalates problems timely and effectively.

Communicates difficult information with diplomacy and tact.

Motivates others and conveys urgency appropriately.

Ensures all project documentation is complete and filed appropriately.

Proactively maintains a safe and healthy work environment for all employees.

Ability to travel - up to 10%.

Other duties as assigned.

Desired Qualifications:

Previous project management experience is required, manufacturing experience is preferred.

Education:

A degree in a technical field + 2 years of project management experience OR 7+ years of progressive project management experience. PMP Certification is a requirement.

Capital equipment project experience a plus

SAP experience a plus

Earned Value Management (EVM) experience a plus

High-value project experience a plus
