Role: Project Manager

Location: Dallas, TX ( Onsite)

Job Description:

Deliver multi-million dollar capital IT projects, spanning over a 12-24 month time frame to cost, timeline and outcomes, as agreed within the business case approved at Executive level.

Works effectively with stakeholders, up to senior leadership team level. Holds project team members to account for deliverables IT engineering, product managers, business leaders and vendors . Effectively manages risks and dependencies to assure the delivery plan. Rapidly executes remediation plan to move the project back into a green status if timelines, costs and outcomes are at risk.

Responsible for the oversight and performance of D&T project status, meetings, reporting, scope changes, financials, administrative, and technical issues.

Deliver and outcome focused, this individual will drive the team deliverables and manage stakeholder outcomes.

Works with and holds vendors and 3rd party contractors to account on deliverables, costs and timelines as outlined in the approved SoW.

Provides input into training and development plans for D&T Project Managers and Coordinators as required.

Maintains professional contacts with other organizations, research institutions, service providers, and software and/or equipment manufacturers concerning support and lifecycle management.

May direct the continuing review of present systems and methods, as well as the formulation of new and revised systems; determines appropriate changes to effect improvements, reduce costs, and enhance efficiency.

Develops requirements, cost projections, budgets and forecasts for projects. Involved in SoW, contract and pricing negotiations.

Keeps abreast of technological changes and innovations in the information systems field.

Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university and a minimum of eight to twelve years of related experience and/or training, including five years of experience at the management level.

Consulting experience required from a top-tier consultancy, specifically in the D&T industry examples: Bain, Capgemini, McKinsey

CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES

Project and Programme Management including Agile certification desireable

COMMUNICATION SKILLS

Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex business documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive issues. Ability to write reports, manuals, speeches and articles using distinctive style. Ability to make effective and persuasive presentations on complex topics to employees, clients, senior management. Ability to motivate and negotiate effectively with key employees, top management, and client groups to take desired action.

FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE

Requires good knowledge of financial terms and principles. Reviews financial/business analysis and reports. Ability to analyze business/financial data and develop innovative solutions.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve advanced problems and deal with a variety of options in complex situations. Requires good level analytical and quantitative skills with proven experience in developing and implementing solutions. Draws upon the analysis of others and makes recommendations that have a direct impact on the project.

OTHER SKILLS and/or ABILITIES

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred, ScrumMaster (CSM) or ITIL certification preferred. Lean Sigma Green Belt desirable.
