Job Title: Project Manager - Data Center Construction

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager with expertise in data center construction to join our clients dynamic and growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of data center construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. This role requires a deep understanding of construction management, project planning, and the unique requirements of data center facilities.

Our Client is a Top 100 ENR ranked General Contractor with an established Mission Critical Division, who have a backlog of ground up construction and Data hall Retrofits.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Execution: Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation. Manage all phases of data center construction from design to completion.

Stakeholder Management: Liaise with clients, sub-contractors, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure clear communication and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.

Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to address them, ensuring the smooth progression of projects.

Quality Control: Ensure all construction work meets the highest standards of quality and complies with industry regulations and client specifications.

Resource Coordination: Oversee the procurement of materials and the scheduling of work, ensuring efficient use of resources.

Team Leadership: Lead and manage project teams, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback to ensure successful project outcomes.

Budget Management: Monitor project expenses and implement cost-control measures to keep projects within budget.

Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate project documentation and provide regular progress reports to stakeholders.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field. PMP certification required

Proven experience as a Project Manager in the construction industry, specifically with data center projects. Minimum 5 years of experience as a Project Manager or Assistant Project Manager from a general contractor.

Strong knowledge of data center infrastructure, including HVAC, electrical, and security systems.

Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Proficiency in project management software and tools. Bluebeam, BIM360, Navisworks or Procore.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills would be required when client facing.

Preferred:

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent.

Experience with sustainable construction practices and LEED certification processes.

Familiarity with the latest advancements in data center technology and construction methods, such as liquid cooling, UPS systems and Fiber Optics.

Salary Range $140,000-$170,000 dependant on relevant experience and previous completed projects.
