Collins has an opening for a Project Manager II for our Norwood, MA office. This role offers the chance to work with industry leaders while using innovative technology. You will have the independence to solve technical problems and steward solutions through the delivery process. This position is a combination of design and field work with some travel required. This position will provide the opportunity for growth, where continuing development and participation in professional societies will be supported.

OPPORTUNITIES THIS ROLE WILL BRING
  • Performs complex engineering computations involving conventional engineering practices.
  • Demonstrates strong proficiency in computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare engineering and design documents.
  • Responsible for projects of varying size and complexity from inception to completion
  • Takes an active role in contract negotiations, project planning, project quality, and project profitability.
  • Oversees project budgets.
  • Responsible for project schedules and timely completion of projects.
  • Ensures accurate client billings and monitors outstanding accounts receivable.
  • Provides leadership in client management, proposal preparation, project scoping, and estimating project costs.
  • Directs and supervises the work of project teams and support staff.
  • Relocation is available

Qualifications

WHAT YOU WILL NEED
  • Bachelor's degree and/or master's degree in civil engineering from an accredited four-year university.
  • 5 years or more experience in project management.
  • Experience in design and analysis of transportation infrastructure required.
  • Success in delivering projects for MassDOT, RIDOT, NHDOT, Massport and/or MBTA as a Project Manager preferred.
  • Experience with AASHTO and AREMA standards preferred.
  • Experience with AASHTOWare, BrR, BrD, CSI Bridge, STAAD, OpenBridge, LEAP, and PGSuper and other related design and analysis software preferred.
  • Creative and innovative thinking and approach to problem solving.

  • Ability to grow to the next level of leadership and success.
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.)
  • Valid driver's license
